I give it all and have a good training program, but I can’t gain muscle mass. What’s the problem?
You might not get stronger and bigger even if you push hard and give it all you got (and use really too much supplements). You must give your body what it needs everyday so it can develop. When I look at what some athletes eat, I too often see that they eat too few calories and proteins. When I ask athletes what they eat, their answer often is: 2 coffees and 3 Pop-Tarts. Once I’m done hitting my head against my desk and have recovered from my concussion, I tell them that they can probably gain a couple of pounds in a month just by eating a good old bowl of oatmeal, 4 eggs and two cups of strawberries. The moral of the story is that unless you eat everyday at least 3 to 4 meals that include at least 30 grams of proteins and complex carbs, or a source of good fat and tons of fruit and vegetables, you will never get the results you are after, even if you train like crazy.
