How can I choose the right strength and conditioning coach?

There are an increasing number of people that pretend to be physical preparation experts but whose only qualification is having played football or hockey for 10 years or lifted weights for a couple of years.



That is pretty sad and caused by a lack of regulation targeting athletic trainers (or trainers in general). A 48-hour program with a personal trainer is all you need to get in the business (and call yourself whatever title you want). But with which coach should I train? Make sure that your trainer has a college diploma in kinesiology or sports sciences and has studied under renowned strength and conditioning coaches for some time at least and that he is training several athletes with satisfying results and less injuries.
