About us
The HPA centre covers about 2800 square feet in the heart of Laval and is easily accessible by urban transport. It includes advanced training equipment and technology adapted to athletes’ specific needs. HPA can design and implement custom training programs or train groups in a private environment.
Moreover, HPA athletes have access to a nutrition professional and unequalled expertise in supplements. In fact, a wide variety of Health Canada approved and professionally recommended supplements are available on site.
Antoine Hamelin is HPA’s chief strength and conditioning coach and founder. He has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and has focused his expertise on off- and regular-season training for football and hockey players during recent years. His experience includes working for the St. Louis Blues in 2008 and studying under some of the best coaches in the world. He has also worked for four years as a physical conditioning instructor in the Canadian Forces, where he training recruits, various military units and Special Forces candidates preparing for the selection phase of the JTF2. Besides his qualifications as a strength coach, he is also qualified in injury prevention and sports nutrition.
HPA’s experts are the best in the field and can help any athlete reach his goals, from a 300-lb football player wishing to lose 40 lbs and increase his power and mobility or a wide receiver aiming to get better combined-tests results and get drafted by a university, to a hockey player training to skate faster and finally win those battles along the boards or a boxer hoping to strengthen a shoulder after an injury.
